The Metro Detroit Gamers were forced to cancel Michicon '99. After their first location raised the price they found a second location that seemed like it would work. At the last moment, the owners of the second location then stipulated that a portion of the rental price was for MDG to turn over a complete mailing list of their members and of those people who would be attending.

The MDG felt this would be an invasion of privacy. Rather than spend more time on arranging Michicon 99 they decided to turn their attention to making sure that nothing like this will occur to create similar difficulties for WinterCon.

So far it looks like SNIP will be able to beta test through MDG's convention, WinterCon rather than Michicon.

The Shield of the Holy Defender has vanished from the temple

Just one month after the original island site of the temple of the Holy Defender was reclaimed, the icon of the Holy Defender was stolen from the current temple within our town. The Patriarch was awakened by the noise, only to see a young red dragon flying off with the icon.

A hand of adventurers, who are growing in renown in our village, have set forth to find and retrieve the Shield of the Holy Defender.

It seems that these adventurers have already done Haven a favor, even before reaching the lair of the dragon. In their travels they discovered and dispatched a group of bugbears. Among the belongings of the bugbears was information leading the Patriarch to believe that the creatures had intended a second attack on our village.

How to determine your Star Wars name…

1) Take the first three letter of your 1st name and add the first two letters of your last name

For your new last name:

2) Then take the first 2 letters of your Moms maiden name and add the first 3 letters of the city you were born

How to determine your Star Wars honorific title:

1) Take the last 3 letters of your last name and reverse them

2) Add the name of the first car you drove/owned

3) Insert the word "of"

4)  Tack on the name of the last medication you took.
